Patricia Clifton is a Marriage Celebrant, Wedding Celebrant and Civil Celebrant.  She provides her beautiful ceremonies and services to Randwick, Sydney Eastern Suburbs and the greater Sydney region.

You have your ideas. My role is to facilitate the most appropriate, meaningful, aesthetically beautiful ceremony possible for you as citizens in our pluralistic and multicultural society.

About Me

My Training

I hold a Diploma of Marriage Celebrancy from the International College of Celebrancy. Begun in 1995, it is the world’s first and original Distance Education training for Celebrants in ‘the nature and practice of creating, orchestrating and celebrating client approved and chosen ‘rites of passage and ceremonies’.

As a professional celebrant I am skilled to assist clients in planning marriage or commitment, funeral, naming and other ‘rites of passage’ with particular sensitivity to mixed cultures and religions.

My Background

For over 22 years I educated people on the importance of communication in relationships. I trained teachers, parents, police and TAFE students to communicate. In addition to this, for the last 20 years I have been studying comparative religions and spirituality. This has given me a good insight into the wide variance in people’s religious beliefs and values.

Today, many people are disillusioned with traditional religious ceremonies. In my opinion, this does not mean that couples choosing to be married without the presence of clergy fail to recognise the importance of the vows they are making. For many people, the Universal Spirit is everywhere and there is no need to perform their marriage celebration within the confines of a building.
